I work at the Carbon Portal, which is the data center of ICOS - Integrated Carbon Observation System. ICOS is a European research infrastructure whose main missions are to collect data on greenhouse gases, curate these in a trustworthy way, and make the openly available to everyone. At the Carbon Portal, I spend much of my time on representing ICOS in various projects dealing with research data management and FAIR. During 2015-2019 I was a co-lead on the work package on identification & citation in the ENVRIplus project, and since 2019 I lead the WP on training and skills building in ENVRI-FAIR. (The ENVRI in these names stands for Earth & Environmental Science Research Infrastructures.) In my role as representative of ENVRI-FAIR in the EOSC Architecture WG's task force on persistent identifiers, I had a part in designing the EOSC PID Policy and the PID Architecture for EOSC reports.
Topics that I burn for are PIDs (obviously!), FAIR Dgital Objects and training in Open Science/Open Data. If these aren't your cup of tea, I will be happy to chat with you on most other RDM-related topics, including metadata, canonical workflows and software for research :>)
